Well after a few days, the site is finally back up.  I wasn't able to locate the source of the problem, but instead loaded a fresh backup that I had before the site was attacked.  If anyone is worrying about passwords, don't worry no information can be taken at the administration end.  The most anyone can do as administrator is give you a new password, there is no access to the old one.
